Happiness After Marriage in 1920s Singapore

I think this is from the 1920s. I forgot to make a note of when it was from. In any case, it asks at the bottom, “After marriage, how does one obtain happiness?”

The answer is simple – from pills!!!

This is an advertisement for Pinkettes, also known as Dr. Williams’ Pink Pills for Pale People (try to say that ten times fast!!). They apparently helped regulate the digestive system, and that would then put the rest of the body in order, so that young married people could. . . continue to get along well together. After all, there’s no reason to argue when one’s digestive system is working properly.

I like her dark glasses.
